Overview

Job Summary

Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including room turnover, clean and stock supplies and equipment and patient transport.

Job Responsibilities

  • Transports patients timely, safely and with proper documents.

  • Assists with room turnover. Has necessary equipment gathered, assists with gathering and removing soiled trash, and linen, biohazardous waste.

  • Assists with positioning and prepping of patient. Obtains blood and blood products, additional supplies, equipment, instruments as needed during procedure.

  • Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards, to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies

  • Delivers intraoperative care as an assistant to the surgeon as a collaborative team member

  • Performs housekeeping duties to assigned areas.

  • Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • No Experience

  • No Supervisor Experience
