Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a large acute care hospital in Overland Park, KS, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and on-call availability.

Details
  • Work in the Operating Room of a 343-bed acute care hospital
  • Broad surgical caseload including abdominal, cardiovascular, colon/rectal, dental, ENT, gynecological, joint replacement, maternal-fetal, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oral/maxillofacial, orthopedic/sports medicine, pediatrics, plastic and reconstructive, robotics, spine, thoracic, trauma, urological, and vascular procedures
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Shift hours: 7:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM with on-call requirements
  • Schedule options include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts based on availability
  • Set schedules; floating is not required
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active KS RN license or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent OR/surgical nursing experience
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

  • Surgical/procedural experience is preferred but not required
  • Hospital-laundered scrubs are provided by the department
