Reports To: Senior Operating Manager

Job Summary

LJ’s Cleaning Solutions is seeking an experienced Building Facilities & Utilities Supervisor to oversee the daily maintenance, repair, and performance of building systems and utility infrastructure. This position supervises facilities personnel, vendors, and contractors while ensuring equipment and building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily facility maintenance and utility operations
  • Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, water, gas, mechanical, and life-safety systems
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
  • Respond to facility emergencies and service interruptions
  • Manage work orders and ensure timely completion
  • Conduct routine facility inspections
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel
  • Coordinate vendors and third-party contractors
  • Review completed work, service reports, and contractor invoices
  • Maintain maintenance, inspection, and compliance records
  • Monitor inventory, equipment, and maintenance supplies
  • Assist with budget tracking and cost-control initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, building codes, and company safety requirements

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of facilities or maintenance experience
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365
  • Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance reporting
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and access equipment spaces
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical facility inspections
  • Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $65,000–$90,000 annually
