Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8-Hour Shifts | Edwardsville Ambulatory Surgery Center
Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our Surgical Services team at our Ambulatory Surgery Center.
This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys perioperative care, values teamwork, and thrives in a structured outpatient surgical environment focused on safety, efficiency, and excellent patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
As an OR RN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout the surgical experience, including:
  • Providing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care
  • Performing patient assessments and preparing patients for surgery
  • Assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists during procedures
  • Maintaining sterile technique and ensuring a safe surgical environment
  • Monitoring patients and responding to changes in condition
  • Supporting smooth workflow and efficient surgical case management
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and continuity of care
Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • 8-hour shifts
  • No weekends (if applicable, you can insert here for stronger appeal)
What We're Looking For
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN required)
  • Current Illinois RN license
  • Current BLS certification required
  • OR experience preferred
