Looking for a career outdoors at one of the most iconic golf courses in the country? Presidio Golf Course is seeking motivated, hardworking team members to join our Grounds Crew team. This position plays a key role in maintaining exceptional course conditions and creating a first-class experience for our guests in the heart of San Franciscoโ€™s historic Presidio.

Position Summary

Grounds Crew / Equipment Operators are responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, conditioning, and playability of the golf course through daily turf and landscape maintenance practices. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in their work, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate golf course maintenance equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, blowers, and other turf equipment
  • Perform mowing, bunker maintenance, landscaping, debris removal, and daily course setup
  • Assist with turf care practices including divot repair, edging, and detail work
  • Support practice facility setup and overall golf course presentation standards
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Work collaboratively with the agronomy team to deliver top-tier course conditions year-round
Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to perform physical labor including walking, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability may be required
  • Golf course, landscape, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required

Compensation

This position is covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA). Current compensation is $23.18 per hour plus an additional $5.55 per hour in fringe benefits.
