Position Summary
In support of both the EVP/COO and the Chief Legal Officer, this administrative professional will serve as a proactive problem solver and conscientious gatekeeper. The executive administrative assistant will manage the executives' time and prioritize heavy calendar activities, internal meeting planning, international and domestic travel, and expenses. Need poise, sophistication, and polish to deal with internal and external stakeholders, senior academic and administrative executives. Must be able to anticipate new ways to add efficiencies. Confidentiality and discretion are essential.
  • Performs a variety of administrative duties with wide latitude for exercising discretion and judgment.
  • Receives and answers correspondence both in the name of the incumbents and in the name of the executives. •
  • May coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements. •
  • Arranges for and schedules appointments, including interviewing callers and making proper referrals; supervises the preparation of materials for meetings.
  • Manages the maintenance of the executives' calendars and ensures appropriate preparation for daily activities.
  • Assist with management of daily operations by assisting in developing administrative goals and priorities for long-range strategic planning, communicating, implementing, interpreting and revising policies and procedures as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as needed.
  • The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred. In lieu of educational requirements, experience may be substituted on a year for year basis
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Positions in this classification may require the ability to type or keyboard 60 accurate words per minute.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Previous C-Suite experience is preferred.
