Job description

Hooks, Meng and Clement (HM&C) is looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to serve as the trusted operating partner to our CEO/Managing Partner. This is not a traditional administrative position, and it is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. We are looking for a highly organized, resourceful, and confident professional who can create order around a fast-moving executive, protect the CEO’s time, translate priorities into action, and make sure important commitments do not fall through the cracks.
You will operate at the center of the CEO’s calendar, communications, meetings, priorities, special projects, relationships, and selected personal responsibilities. You will help the CEO stay focused on the highest-value work while ensuring that decisions become action, action items have owners and deadlines, and the executive team follows through.
The mission of this position is simple: the successful candidate will:

  • Keep the CEO organized and focused on high-value priorities.

  • Ensure meetings result in clear action items and accountability.

  • Anticipate issues before they become problems.

  • Improve the CEO’s efficiency through strong systems, communication, and follow-through.

Compensation:

$55,000 annual salary

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a complex executive calendar, scheduling, and priorities.

  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, capture action items, and ensure follow-through.

  • Organize travel, events, and executive logistics.

  • Draft correspondence, manage communications, and handle confidential information.

  • Track projects, deadlines, and executive priorities across the firm.

  • Provide selected personal assistance as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a senior-level executive such as a CEO or managing partner in a fast-paced environment.

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and project management skills.

  • Ability to anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and manage competing priorities.

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and project management tools.

  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
