Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant – Plastic Extrusion
Location: Auburn, WA
Shift Options:
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Pay: $20.00/hour
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Pay: $21.50/hour (includes shift differential)
About the Role
We are a leader in plastic packaging solutions, is seeking a reliable Machine Operator Assistant to join our plastic extrusion team. This role plays a key part in supporting machine operators, maintaining production flow, and ensuring quality standards are met. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assist machine operators with setup, operation, troubleshooting, and light maintenance of extrusion and production equipment.
  • Monitor production lines and material flow to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Perform quality checks, including visual inspections and precision measurements of finished products.
  • Conduct sample testing (basis weight, material appearance) and accurately record findings.
  • Track raw material usage, production data, and defect reports.
  • Handle, package, and properly label unused raw materials for return or storage.
  • Set up and monitor resin blenders, ensuring all materials meet production standards.
  • Oversee machine operations when the primary operator is unavailable.
  • Confirm calibration of measuring tools and testing instruments.
  • Support product changeovers, machine cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and ruler test (measurement accuracy).
  • Stable work history: no employment gaps over one month and no more than three jobs in the last five years.
