About Us:


Miami Mixed Media is a high-performance custom print and embroidery studio based in Miami’s vibrant Little River business district. Known for our attention to detail, creativity, and top-tier equipment, we take pride in delivering standout products for our clients. Our shop features AC, surround sound, and our two friendly shop dogs—Cha Cha and Pelusa.

Position: Embroidery Operator Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time)



Role Overview:


We’re looking for a dependable, driven Embroidery Operator Assistant to support our embroidery department. This is a hands-on position perfect for someone with some machine experience who’s eager to grow into a lead role.

Either part-time or Full-time position available.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in prepping garments and materials for embroidery
  • Help load and operate multi-head embroidery machines (Barudan, Tajima, SWF, etc.)
  • Oil machines and assist with basic maintenance and cleaning
  • Troubleshoot simple issues (thread breaks, bobbin changes, hoop adjustments)
  • Load embroidery files (PES, DST formats) and assist with file sizing and positioning
  • Support quality control and ensure garments meet production standards
  • Organize supplies and prepare jobs for post-production and finishing

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience assisting or operating embroidery machines preferred
  • Comfortable with digitized files and machine setup
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
  • Eager to learn and grow within a production environment
  • Team player with strong communication and time management skills
  • Able to take direction and maintain a clean, efficient workspace

Descripción del Puesto:

Estamos buscando a un(a) Asistente de Operador(a) de Bordado confiable y motivado(a) para apoyar a nuestro departamento de bordado. Esta es una posición práctica ideal para alguien con algo de experiencia en máquinas y con muchas ganas de crecer hasta llegar a un rol principal.

Disponible en modalidad de medio tiempo o tiempo completo.


Responsabilidades Principales:

  • Ayudar en la preparación de prendas y materiales para el bordado
  • Asistir en la carga y operación de máquinas de bordado multi-cabezal (Barudan, Tajima, SWF, etc.)
  • Engrasar máquinas y apoyar con el mantenimiento y limpieza básica
  • Solucionar problemas sencillos (ruptura de hilo, cambio de bobina, ajustes de aro)
  • Cargar archivos de bordado (formatos PES, DST) y ayudar con el tamaño y posicionamiento
  • Apoyar en el control de calidad para asegurar que las prendas cumplan con los estándares de producción
  • Organizar insumos y preparar trabajos para postproducción y acabados

Requisitos:

  • Se prefiere experiencia de 1 año o más asistiendo o manejando máquinas de bordado
  • Conocimiento básico de archivos digitalizados y configuración de máquinas
  • Persona detallista, organizada y confiable
  • Deseo de aprender y crecer en un ambiente de producción
  • Capacidad para trabajar en equipo con buenas habilidades de comunicación y manejo del tiempo
  • Capacidad para seguir instrucciones y mantener un espacio de trabajo limpio y eficiente
