Job description

Job Title: Operator Assistant
Job Description

As an Operator Assistant, you will be responsible for locating and supplying materials, weighing, strapping, bagging, and labeling finished goods. You will assist in performing in-process quality inspections and inform the supervisor of any material needs as they arise. Additionally, you will maintain in-process inventory by correctly labeling work in progress (WIP) in POUT or job packets, verifying material lot and quantity.

Responsibilities

  • Locate and supply necessary materials for production.
  • Weigh, strap, bag, and label finished products accurately.
  • Assist in conducting in-process quality inspections.
  • Inform supervisors promptly of any material needs.
  • Maintain accurate in-process inventory by labeling and verifying material lot and quantity.

Work Environment

This role operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. The company provides a welcoming 'family feel,' being owned by the original founding family. The facility includes two operational areas: BIT, located on the 1st and 2nd floors, with the 1st shift primarily English-speaking and the 2nd shift primarily Spanish-speaking; and Northwest Woolen Mills, on the 3rd floor, primarily Spanish-speaking, where bilingual candidates are often required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
