ROLE SUMMARY: The Front Desk Agent is responsible for creating a memorable and seamless guest experience by providing warm welcomes, efficient check-in and check-out, and thoughtful assistance throughout each guest’s stay. As a Guest Experience Expert, this role takes initiative to anticipate needs, resolve challenges, and highlight the unique character of Hotel Drover and the Fort Worth Stockyards. The Front Desk Agent embodies our core values while ensuring Legendary Hospitality is delivered every time. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine Texas hospitality during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay. 

  • Process reservations, registrations, payments, and room assignments accurately and efficiently.  

  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate follow-up.  

  • Use up-selling and cross-selling techniques to maximize room revenue while enhancing the guest experience.  

  • Balance all cash, check, and credit card accounts through verification. 

  • Maintain a polished and professional image through appearance, dress, and communication.  

  • Partner with all hotel departments to anticipate guest needs and ensure seamless service.  

  • Complete daily reports, logs, and shift handovers accurately. 

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards, protecting company assets and maintaining confidentiality. 

  • All other duties as assigned. 

ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods. 

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 25 lbs without assistance. 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high guest interaction. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully in person and over the phone.  

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current TABC Certification prior to beginning the job.

  • Flexible schedule — must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for collaboration and delivering guest-focused service.  

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to stay calm in stressful situations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience.
