Position Summary
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Burleson/Ft Worth is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team.
Our Front Desk Agents are often the first and last people our guests interact with during their stay. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming environment, completing accurate check-ins and checkouts, assisting guests with questions or concerns, and helping ensure every guest has a positive experience.
The ideal candidate is professional, comfortable working with computers, able to remain calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Complete guest check-ins, checkouts, room assignments, and payment processing.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to guest questions.
  • Assist guests with hotel information, directions, local recommendations, and special requests.
  • Make, modify, and review hotel reservations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns.
  • Communicate maintenance, housekeeping, and guest-service needs to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain accurate guest accounts, payment information, and shift records.
  • Keep the Front Desk, lobby, and surrounding areas clean and organized.
  • Follow hotel procedures regarding guest privacy, security, cash handling, and credit-card processing.
  • Assist other departments when necessary to support hotel operations.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by hotel management.
Qualifications
  • Previous hotel, customer-service, retail, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to professionally resolve guest concerns.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards
  • Familiar with Opera PMS a PLUS
  • Familiar with IHG Hotels and/or Holiday Inn Express a PLUS
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of other languages is a PLUS
  • Computer literacy
  • Able to resolve issues with a customer-focused orientation
