The Hotel Indigo Austin Downtown – University and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin Downtown – University are seeking a highly organized, guest focused, and detail oriented Front Desk Agent. The Front Desk Agent serves as the first point of contact for guests and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently while following company procedures.
  • Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate billing records.
  • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and transportation options.
  • Resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation systems.
  • Follow security, safety, and confidentiality procedures.
  • Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, or front desk experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with reservation or property management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Opera PMS experience strongly preferred.
  • IHG experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience working in a full-service hotel environment.
  • Knowledge of banquet operations, event planning, and group billing procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of luggage or office supplies (up to 25 pounds).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • This is an hourly position.
