Fortify WebInspect is the industry's most mature automated dynamic web application security testing solution, which is recognized as industry leader by Gartner MQ. Fortify DAST portfolio includes both on-premise (WebInspect) and containerized (Scan Central DAST) products that can be deployed in-house or as a service to build a scalable, nimble Software Security Assurance program that meets the evolving needs of today's IT organization.
We are looking for a passionate Development Manager for Fortify Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST). This role is responsible for leading a team focused on delivering and enhancing dynamic security testing capabilities, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions that identify vulnerabilities in running applications.
What the role offers:
  • Lead and manage a development team responsible for Fortify DAST capabilities.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and delivery of DAST features and services.
  • Ensure high-quality code, performance, and reliability of dynamic testing engines and related services.
  • Collaborate with product management, security research, and platform teams to define and deliver roadmap priorities.
  • Support and implement secure development practices aligned with application security standards.
  • Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Coach and mentor developers; support career growth and team development.
  • Assist in managing technical debt and improving system architecture.
  • Participate in incident response and help resolve production issues.

What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience, with 1-2+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
  • Experience with web technologies and application architectures (HTTP, APIs, microservices).
  • Familiarity with application security concepts, especially dynamic analysis (DAST).
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., .NET, HTML/CSS/JS).
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with dynamic security testing tools or platforms.
    • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
    • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
    • Experience managing distributed or global teams.
  • Leadership Expectations:
    • Build, lead, and retain high-performing development teams.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.
Salary Range: $143,400.00 - $215,000.00; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
