At OpenText, AI is at the heart of everything we do-powering innovation, transforming work, and empowering digital knowledge workers. We are hiring talent AI can't replace to help us shape the future of information management. Join us.
YOUR IMPACT:
As a SEO Manager, you will join a world-class digital marketing team on a mission to support prospects and clients throughout their journey, empowering them to interact with OpenText with ease and on their own schedule. You bring a passion for digital marketing, data analytics, and reporting insights. Search is changing fast, and this role sits at the center of that shift. You will lead traditional SEO alongside generative engine optimization (GEO) and AI search optimization, making sure OpenText content earns visibility in Google, in AI Overviews, and across large language model answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot. This is not just about gaining rankings. It is about gaining rankings that matter. Great targeting drives the right conversations. The role requires a deep understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, keyword and entity research, and analytics. The ideal candidate collaborates closely with content creators, web developers, and marketing teams to optimize our digital presence and improve rankings and answer-engine citations. You will develop strategic approaches to search and AI discovery that generate organic traffic, engagement, and leads for the business[AL1.1].
You can manage multiple activities at once, while keeping all stakeholders up to date with performance metrics reports. You must be comfortable with change and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:
• Developing and executing SEO and GEO strategies, including keyword, entity, and competitive research, to drive organic growth and improve rankings.
• Monitoring and analyzing performance using SEO and AI visibility tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and emerging GEO platforms) and recommending updates to content and web pages.
• Structuring content for AI answer engines, using schema markup, clear entity definitions, and citable formats that earn inclusion in AI-generated responses.
• Staying ahead of search engine algorithm changes, AI search developments, industry trends, and best practices.
• Building strong relationships with subject matter experts across the organization and external vendors to align on go-to-market approaches.
• Analyzing campaign performance and making data-driven decisions to optimize effectiveness against target KPIs.
• Working closely with the full Digital Marketing team to ensure holistic alignment and drive conversations that matter.
• Educating internal teams on SEO, GEO, and AI search best practices, and championing them across the business.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field is required
• 5+ years' experience in digital marketing programs, including SEO, in an enterprise software or B2B company.
• Proven ability to improve organic search performance and rankings, with a working understanding of how content earns visibility in AI answer engines.
• Strong abilities in using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Data Studio to review data analytics and generate reports with insights.
• Familiarity with generative engine optimization (GEO) and how large language models select and cite sources, along with hands-on use of structured data and schema markup.
• A self-motivated, performance-driven, and professional demeanor.
