Job description

We are seeking a versatile OpenText Developer / Administrator to join our team during an exciting period of modernization and cloud migration for a 6+ month project with potential for extension.


As Open Text Developer/Administrator you will be the technical anchor for our OpenText Content Server environment (v25.1), responsible for both high-level system administration and hands-on custom development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the intersection of enterprise content management, web development, and emerging AI technologies like OpenText Aviator.


Requires working Pacific time hours and must be based in US and able to be remote/hybrid to meet on site as as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • System Administration: Provide end-to-end support for OpenText Content Server, including log analysis, troubleshooting, and managing vendor support tickets.
  • Configuration: Manage and optimize security settings, workspaces, and system configurations.
  • Custom Development: Design and build sophisticated WebReports, custom pages, and integrated web solutions using JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and C#.
  • Application Support: Provide baseline support and development within OpenText AppWorks.
  • Cloud & Integration: Support the transition of projects into AWS and maintain integrations between the Document Library, SharePoint, and Azure environments.
  • Innovation: Assist in the roadmap for OpenText Aviator (AI) to enhance organizational data discovery and automation.

Technical Qualifications

  • ECM Expertise: Proven experience with OpenText Content Server and Content Management.
  • Development: Strong background in web development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap) and back-end logic (C# or similar frameworks).
  • OpenText Tooling: Expert-level ability to build and maintain WebReports.
  • Cloud Awareness: Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and cloud-hosted application environments.
  • Data Literacy: Understanding of document metadata structures, complex security schemas, and platform architecture.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with OpenText Knowledge Discovery.
  • Familiarity with OpenText Aviator or other AI-driven content modules.
  • Proficiency in Visio for process mapping and system documentation.


Note: Must be based in the US. So Cal based is a bonus as position requires working Pacific time hours and able to be remote/hybrid to meet on site as as needed.
