RHEL OPENSHIFT ENGINEER
NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a RedHat OpenShift Engineer to support NGA in Springfield, VA. This is a direct-hire role with our client, a fast-growing Federal Integrator. Outstanding compensation, benefits and company culture. An active Top-SecretClearance is required.

HOW A SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Performs installation, securing, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of OpenShift Cluster.

Architecting OpenShift as needed to meet application requirements (compute, storage, networking, and operations)

Performing OpenShift cluster upgrades and security patches as needed

Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration

Experience with container orchestration and administration

Experience with Kubernetes networking & troubleshooting (DNS, load balancers, service IPs, node ports, etc.)

Develops computer systems specifications that fit with the government's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.

Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

Responsible for installation and maintenance of storage, networking, and server hardware.

Ensures availability of development systems to end users through continuous system monitoring and issue remediation.

Applies required security updates and implementations mandated by DoD cyber security regulations.

Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Experience deploying OpenShift in an on-premise environment - 5+

Experience with GitLab CI/CD Platform

Experience with DevSecOps implementations on OpenShift

Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - 10+ years of related experience

Requires RHEL - Linux administration experience - 5+ year or more experience

Preference to administrators experienced in Netapp storage management

Preference to administrators experienced with Cisco switch and networking management

Preference to administrators experienced with ESXI VM management

Preference to administrators experienced with RHEL certification

Must have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire

TS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly

RHEL, Windows, and/or Storage administration

Experience working with trouble reporting and tracking systems such as Service+

Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Location: On Customer Site (Springfield, VA)
