Job Description

We are seeking Caregivers to become a part of our team and help make a difference in our Assisted Living and Memory Care departments. PM shifts available! 

Criteria of Candidates:

  • Must be reliable and show up to work each scheduled shift.

  • Must care about the elderly and get enjoyment by providing quality care

  • Must try your best to be the best you can on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining their dignity and privacy

  • Support residents' mobility by helping with ambulation, transfers, and use of assistive devices

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging them in conversations and activities
  • Assist in serving meals and feeding when necessary, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
  • Monitor residents' health status and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties and following infection control protocols
  • Following individualized care plans for residents
  • Encourage and support residents' independence and autonomy whenever possible
  • Assist with prepping and escorting residents for appointments or community activities
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, following established protocols
  • Document resident care activities, observations, and interactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care for residents
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge
  • Adhere to all company policies, state regulations, and HIPAA guidelines to maintain resident confidentiality and safety
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated proficiency in assisting clients with personal care and hygiene, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  2. Proven ability to safely assist clients with ambulation and mobility, both within the facility and during external appointments or activities.
  3. Extensive experience in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Housekeeping and maintaining a clean living environment
  • Bed-making and linen management
  • Meal service and assistance with feeding when required
  • Personal laundry management
  • Assistance with showering, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Support with dressing and undressing
  • Oral care and hair care
  • Safe transfers and ambulation assistance
  1. Thorough understanding and strict adherence to resident service plans.
  2. Exceptional observational skills with the ability to identify and promptly report any changes in resident condition or safety concerns to medical technicians and supervisors.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of Title XXII regulations and commitment to maintaining compliance at all times.
