Cook - Smoky Mountain Brewery | Maryville
Smoky Mountain Brewery is looking for energetic, team-oriented Cooks to join our Maryville kitchen team!
If you enjoy working with a great team, staying busy, and taking pride in sending out quality food, we want you on the line. Our Cooks play an important role in creating the food our Guests know and love while keeping the kitchen moving efficiently and safely.
Our kitchen stations include Window, Grill, Salad, Fry, Dish, and Pizza, giving you the opportunity to learn different areas of the kitchen and build your skills.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare ingredients and products according to recipes and station requirements.
  • Cook and assemble menu items accurately and efficiently.
  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and menu specifications.
  • Monitor food temperatures and use thermometers and digital scales correctly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout your shift.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Learn new menu items, promotions, and daily specials as they are introduced.
  • Keep an eye on kitchen equipment and communicate any issues that need attention.
  • Work together with the entire kitchen team to keep orders moving and Guests satisfied.
  • Bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a little personality to every shift!
What We're Looking For
  • A team player who enjoys working with others and has a good sense of humor.
  • Someone who smiles easily and often and brings positive energy to the kitchen.
  • Previous kitchen or restaurant line experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person.
  • Ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions.
  • Basic math skills, including understanding simple measurements and conversions.
  • Ability to confidently use a digital scale and food thermometer.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with assistance for heavier items when needed.
  • Ability to stand, bend, walk, and remain active throughout the workday.
