Job description

High School Pre-Employment Transition Facilitator
Job Type: Full-Time | 10-Month Position
Help Students Build the Skills for Their Future
Are you passionate about helping young adults discover their potential? Community Workforce Solutions is looking for a caring, organized, and energetic Pre-Employment Transition (Pre-ETS) Facilitator to support high school students with disabilities as they prepare for life after graduation.
Working alongside our instructional team, you'll help students develop workplace readiness, independence, confidence, and practical life skills while supporting engaging classroom experiences throughout Onslow County.

We partner with schools, families, employers, and local communities to create opportunities that empower people to succeed.
What You'll Do
  • Support instruction for high school students (ages 14-22) participating in Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)
  • Travel between 3-4 high schools throughout Onslow County
  • Assist with classroom activities, small-group instruction, and individualized student support
  • Create lesson materials and prepare classroom activities
  • Document services, maintain program records, and assist with billing
  • Encourage student engagement while helping build confidence, independence, and workplace skills
  • Collaborate with instructors and school staff to provide a positive learning environment
What You'll Bring
  • Associate's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Rehabilitation, or a related human services field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered)
  • Experience working with students or individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid North Carolina driver's license with a driving record that meets agency standards
  • Ability to travel between school sites throughout Onslow County
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening 
Physical Requirements
  • Lift 10-25 pounds
  • Sit, stand, and move throughout the school day
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00/hour
