HealthFitness is seeking a Group Exercise Program Manager to lead dynamic population-based fitness initiatives at our Boston, MA corporate client site. This is a 100% in-person, full-time (40 hours/week) role with a unique blend of onsite programming (60%) and leadership support across multiple off-site locations (40%).
Position is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus!

Responsible for the design, delivery, and promotion of onsite programs, delivering innovative programming to support the growing needs of the client, while also providing remote leadership and support for group fitness programming across multiple non fitness center locations. Partners closely with key stakeholders to align engagement strategies, ensure consistent program quality, and drive participation with accountability for program execution, outcomes, and reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Create, execute, and maintain an annual Engagement Plan aligned with client culture, with a primary focus on onsite success. Includes leading onsite fitness initiatives, day-to-day program coordination, and ownership of defined KPIs and engagement targets.
  • Lead the overall strategy and standards of non-fitness-center group exercise and engagement programming, including remote oversight of programming and instructors across multiple office locations. This includes hiring, training and onboarding instructors.
  • Assess effectiveness of programs and resources by supporting the consistent tracking of program participation and satisfaction to ensure continuous improvement that drives outcomes.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and key messages, leveraging standard content and tools that ensure a high-quality, consistent promotional strategy across all non-fitness center locations.
  • Identify innovations, trends, and opportunities to enhance programming through best practices and market analysis.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years' related industry experience, including program management in a fitness, wellbeing, or related environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years' staff supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Public Health, Exercise Physiology, etc) OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Institute, or American Safety & Health Institute required by start date. (Note: certification must have an in-person component and not 100% online/OSHA compliant).
  • Group Exercise Instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT or NETA.
  • Strong leadership, team management, interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including at minimum Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of program development and implementation, data collection and analysis, and outcomes reporting.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $44k-$60k annually. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
