Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain nursing schedules for all shifts while supporting appropriate staffing levels and budget guidelines.
  • Coordinate daily staffing needs, including call-offs, shift coverage, and open positions through OnShift.
  • Review upcoming staffing needs and help ensure adequate coverage for weekends and daily operations.
  • Communicate schedule changes and maintain accurate staffing information.
  • Monitor attendance, tardiness, overtime, and time-off requests to support effective staffing.
  • Partner with Nursing Administration, Unit Managers, and Human Resources regarding staffing needs, team member changes, and retention efforts.
  • Participate in staffing on-call rotation with nursing leadership.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous scheduling, staffing coordination, or healthcare office experience preferred.
  • Experience with OnShift preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
