Job description

We are looking for a compassionate Medication Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our residents. 

Hourly Range $19.75-22.75

Responsibilities:

  • Passing of medications after successful completion of training program and test
  • Taking vital signs 
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for residents or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating

  • Help residents take prescribed medication and assist residents with ambulation

  • Assist with physical therapy exercises

  • Perform housekeeping tasks as necessary  

  • Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting residents with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties

  • Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation 

  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

  • Supportive and compassionate

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program (Preferred but not necessary)

  • Take pride in providing high quality care

  • Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to resident)
