Compiles schedules for Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants for all shifts in Palace, Tradition, MC AL and Resnick buildings to ensure proper staffing levels are achieved.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
• Study schedules and staffing patterns to ascertain personnel requirements by utilizing OnShift
• Compiles and oversees work schedule for nursing staff. Responsible for coordinating days off, holidays, vacations, with the needs of the Individual buildings through OnShift
• Responsible for ensuring that positions are filled for the individual buildings when staff call in ill, during the hours they are scheduled to work
• Adjusts schedules to meet emergencies caused by extended leave or increased staffing demands
• Performs duties so as to achieve proper utilization of staff and thereby minimize the need for overtime
• Update Nursing Dept. phone list as needed
• Responsible for adhering to staffing patterns mandated by local, State and Federal regulations
• Answers telephones and responds to questions. Transfers necessary calls to appropriate personnel
• Provides administrative support to the Traditional Nursing Office
• Maintains strict confidentiality with regards to all information that this position knows regarding staff, correspondence, meetings, etc., that this information is privileged information due to the sensitivity of the position
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Active FL Certified Nurse Assistant Licensure and active CPR Certification
