Group Sales Manager
Job Summary
The Smokies' most fun attractions need a Group Sales Manager who's ready to hustle! We're looking for a goal-oriented go-getter with a passion for sales, driving revenue, and creating OMG Experiences in every single interaction. Detail orientation and rock-solid time management are a must - you'll be juggling a high volume of revenue-generating calls every day while keeping every task, follow-up, and deal on track. Sales experience helps, but the right attitude matters more - we're ready and willing to train the right person.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
Schedule: Full-time onsite. Because our groups come to have fun on their schedule, this role also requires availability for after-hours calls and some evenings to greet and welcome groups on-site.
What You'll Do
Group Sales
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue goals.
  • Generate new business through consistent prospecting.
  • Grow existing accounts through exceptional relationship management.
  • Respond to inquiries quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurate CRM records
  • Partner with neighboring hotels and restaurants to create can't-miss "Group Specials"
  • Schedule and lead site visits for guests shopping for their next event destination
  • Set tasks and reminders in the CRM to follow up on final numbers, deposits, and payments
  • Stay in constant communication with group leaders throughout the sales cycle so no deal falls through the cracks
  • Book events, place ticket holds, and release them when they expire
  • Ensure groups are using and distributing our online waiver system properly
  • Alert General Managers to large groups or special requests
  • Greet and welcome groups in person, including evenings and after standard business hours as needed
  • Train Party Hosts and Managers on our Groups Process

Administrative Duties
  • Build proposal and contract templates
  • Team up with the VP of Sales on seasonal email blast promotions
  • Prepare a weekly sales report highlighting key activity
  • Verify tax-exempt status and maintain exemption paperwork
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and report on upcoming events
  • Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For
  • Exceptional communication skills and a drive to master the art of sales
  • Confidence identifying leads and cold-calling prospects
  • 1-2 years of sales experience preferred
  • Strong multi-tasking ability
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Flexibility to work some evenings/after-hours for group greetings
