Job description

Position Summary

Hudson Global Scholars is now interviewing part-time teachers for a variety of subjects and teaching schedules. This position may include asynchronous teacher-facilitated (TF) courses, live online instruction, and/or service as a bench or substitute teacher.

The Part-Time Teacher is responsible for supporting student learning and academic success within an assigned subject area. Teachers provide instruction, monitor student progress, deliver timely feedback, and build positive relationships with students and families in an online learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage an assigned caseload of students and monitor academic progress throughout the course lifecycle.
Maintain consistent communication with students, parents, and school partners, including regular progress updates.
Grade assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Deliver engaging live virtual instruction when assigned.
Monitor student performance and implement appropriate academic interventions.
Collaborate with instructional leaders and internal stakeholders to support student success.
Maintain accurate student records and complete required administrative tasks.
Participate in professional development, instructional observations, and feedback processes.
Complete all required training and compliance activities.
Serve as a substitute or bench teacher when assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Education or a relevant subject area required.
Master's degree preferred.
Active teaching certification or license in the applicable subject area strongly preferred. 

Experience

Prior classroom or instructional experience required.
Experience teaching in an online or blended learning environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships in a virtual learning environment.
Proficiency with learning management systems and educational technology.
Ability to independently navigate technology required for the role, including Microsoft Office, email, video conferencing platforms, and learning management systems.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage a high-volume asynchronous caseload with consistency and responsiveness.
Demonstrated ability to use student performance data to inform instructional decisions.

Program Information

Teachers may be assigned to programs serving students in Catholic faith-based schools. Personal commitment to the Catholic faith is not required; however, teachers must demonstrate professionalism and respect for the beliefs and values of the school community. Teachers may be asked to become familiar with essential Catholic teachings to support positive student relationships and successful classroom outcomes.

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) or macOS 10.13 or later
