Position Overview

People's Talk Mental Health Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our dynamic telehealth team. This is a full-time remote position where you will be instrumental in providing high-quality mental health care to adolescents and young adults grappling with an array of emotional and psychological challenges. Work Environment

This role allows for complete remote flexibility, allowing clinicians to work from home or any location they are comfortable with. You'll connect with clients via a secure online platform, ensuring safety and confidentiality while addressing their mental health needs in a comfortable setting.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to client needs.
  • Creating and implementing treatment plans that set achievable goals and track client progress.
  • Participating in regular case discussions with fellow clinicians to collaborate on treatment approaches and share best practices.
  • Providing support and intervention for clients dealing with acute mental health crises.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Facilitating educational workshops and group sessions, focusing on coping strategies and life skills for adolescents and young adults.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily support adolescents and young adults, an essential demographic facing unique challenges during pivotal life transitions. Our clients often require assistance in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma from adverse childhood experiences, and the impact of substance use disorders. By focusing on building strong therapeutic relationships, you will enhance client engagement and foster long-term healing.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Current licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT is required; willingness to provide supervision to junior-licensed clinicians is a plus.
  • Availability for a minimum of 12 hours per week; full-time candidates should be prepared to work between 30 and 40 hours weekly.
  • Ability to navigate telehealth systems and utilize digital tools for client engagement and documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing telehealth services and familiarity with effective digital counseling practices.
  • Previous experience working with adolescents and young adults within various settingsโ€”schools, community organizations, or clinical environments.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and culturally competent approaches is highly valued.
