WHAT DOES A MARKETING MANAGER II DO?

We're seeking a Marketing Manager who will serve as the linchpin in orchestrating the seamless execution of a diverse range of marketing projects within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role entails leading internal and external day-to-day operations and delivery of low-to-medium complexity tactical projects. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the Marketing Manager ensures projects are meticulously planned, implemented, and delivered on time and within budget, adhering to the highest quality and process standards set by our organization. 

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of project management expertise and marketing acumen, driving the successful completion of initiatives while fostering client and partner agency relationships. This pivotal role involves co-owning projects alongside senior-level Account and Project Management staff, contributing to the development of comprehensive project plans, and delivering submissions for regulatory review. 

Key qualifications include a proven track record and experience at an agency. Experience within a regulated environment is a plus. Adeptness in managing multiple projects concurrently, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative setting. Qualifications

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or comparable field or equivalent education plus professional experience required 
  • Two to five years of professional experience in an Account and/or Project Management role 
  • A proactive, solution-driven and nimble self-starter with excellent organization skills 
  • Strong attention to detail  
  • Client service mindset and comfortable being liaison between client and agency 
  • High performance in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
  • Understanding of foundational project management skills and standards and comfort leading teams through a project’s lifecycle 
  • Solid understanding of scope and change management 
  • Familiarity with project burn analysis, communication, action and mitigation 
  • Understanding how to identify and escalate project risk 
  • Experience building timelines and project estimates 
  • Basic understanding of Project Management Information Systems such as Workfront, Workfront Proof, Smartsheet, MS Project and the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to build trusting relationships, both internal and external 
  • Positive attitude 
  • Basic negotiation skills 
  • High level of accountability and ownership of actions regarding the projects 
  • Proven organizational and time management skills with strong multitasking and problem-solving acumen, and a proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment 
  • Periodic travel required
