Online Mcat Instructor information

What are some common challenges Online MCAT Instructors face when engaging students remotely, and how can these be addressed?

Online MCAT Instructors often encounter challenges such as maintaining student engagement, adapting to different learning styles virtually, and managing group dynamics in a remote environment. To address these, instructors leverage interactive tools, breakout sessions, and frequent knowledge checks to keep sessions dynamic. Building rapport through regular communication and being available for one-on-one support can also help foster a more connected and effective learning experience. Staying adaptable and open to feedback ensures that students receive the support they need to succeed.

What are Online MCAT Instructors?

Online MCAT Instructors are educators who specialize in preparing students for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) through virtual platforms. They deliver lessons, review content areas such as biology, chemistry, physics, and critical analysis, and provide test-taking strategies. These instructors may work for test prep companies or independently, offering live classes, recorded lectures, and personalized feedback to help students improve their scores. Their goal is to make MCAT preparation accessible, flexible, and effective for students regardless of location.

To thrive as an Online MCAT Instructor, you need a strong background in the sciences, high MCAT scores, and often a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. Instructors deliver a best-in-class experience by leveraging their love of the test and bringing their enthusiasm and content knowledge to our Live Online Courses.

Tutors work 1:1 with students to customize their test prep experience, supported by Blueprint's methods and materials.

We'll be assessing candidates for both Instructor and Tutor roles and will determine which role you are better suited for. Blueprint accepts applications for this position on an ongoing basis.

What You'll Do

  • Help future doctors achieve life-changing scores on the MCAT

  • Great competitive starting rates with opportunity for advancement

    • Instructors: Primary - $75/hr, Secondary - $40/hr

    • Tutors: $45/hr

  • Take advantage of a flexible schedule, ideally 10-20 hours per week

  • Get to nerd out over the MCAT.

Who You Are

  • YOU ACHIEVED A TOP-TIER MCAT SCORE. You earned at least a 517 on an official MCAT.

  • YOU KNOW THE MCAT IS PREPPABLE. You look at standardized tests as puzzles that can be solved. You love to show people how to break down complex material so it becomes accessible, doable, and fun. You enjoyed preparing for the MCAT and want your students to do the same.

  • YOU THRIVE TEACHING STUDENTS. You know that each student begins with different strengths, and you're committed to empowering students to build learning and test-taking skills that they will carry with them to Test Day - and beyond! You have the ability to teach all sections of the MCAT and bring experience engaging students via a remote platform.
