Job description

The employee works under the general supervision of the MTTAcademic Program Director and will follow the policies and regulations setforth by the College as described in the policy and procedures manual. He/she will be expected to work as a professional independent of close supervisionbut will have easy access to their supervisor and other specialists forassistance.

Duties may include any or all of the following:

  • Develop and teach Machine Tool and CNC curricula courses
  • Demonstrate lab techniques involved and assist students in the performance of curriculum-based student labs
  • Provide and apply safe work habits, practices, and rules in all MTT/CNC lab areas
  • Assist in curriculum development and revision
  • Prepare and present material at a pace that will foster student understanding and will, at the same time, permit coverage of vital concepts
  • Participate in recruitment of students, and academically advise students
  • Maintain competence through continuous professional development
  • Meet deadlines for record keeping and maintain scheduled office hours
  • Follow guidelines outlined in the part-time faculty manual
  • Perform other tasks independently as needed
