Art History Adjunct Instructor - Middletown Campus
This posting is part of an ongoing recruitment effort. Applications are accepted year-round, and qualified candidates will be contacted as positions become available.
Overview:
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College invites candidates who are fully committed to the mission and values of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College to apply for the position of Art History Adjunct instructor. Qualified candidates will be responsible for instruction for courses in Art History.
Essential Duties:
  • Instruct students in various Art History courses. Create or if available, follow syllabi, course materials, and assignments to support course learning outcomes as defined by the Art Department and the State of Ohio
  • Ensure that students achieve course learning outcomes as defined in the syllabus
  • Maintain electronic records (using Blackboard) of student performance, progress, and attendance
  • Complete, as directed, all start and end-of-semester responsibilities, including submission of no-show rosters and final grades

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Arts or Fine Arts or related master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Art
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of teaching or industry experience
  • Experience using online learning management systems (Blackboard)
  • Experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds and life experiences
  • Ability to employ a range of online instructional technologies
  • Flexible availability for online consultation with students
