Overview: The Inspection Supervisor reports directly to the Inspection Manager and requires a high level of detail and excellent communication skills. They are responsible for maintaining a high level of production across all the slitting/rewinding and shrink operations. They are also responsible for meeting or exceeding standards relating to safety, quality, on time delivery, and productivity while engaging and motivating the workforce.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of general Inspection or Quality experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required.

Shift Available: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am.

        Training Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4:00pm (but could change based on business needs)

          Pay: Based on experience.

          What you'll do:

          • Supervises personnel, ensuring optimal performance, training, and motivation.
          • Counsel employees on overall performance, attendance and behaviors on a continual basis.
          • Monitor and approve clock records and PTO requests.
          • Work closely with the Inspection Manager, Master Scheduler, and Production Coordinator in editing Production Schedule to meet commitment dates - Achieve on time delivery targets of greater than 95%.
          • Offer support on priority orders and communicate needs within the department to leads and employees on shift.
          • Proactively participate and initiate continuous improvement strategies - Achieve machine uptime & speed targets.
          • Minimize downtime of people and equipment by optimizing workflow and resource allocation.
          • Cross-train resources, when possible, to bolster contingency planning and eliminate 1 point failure.
          • Drive quality process improvements and adherence - Achieve quality targets (CoPQ).
          • Timely communication of production or quality issues with the appropriate manager to minimize production downtime.
          • Follow established quality management system procedures.
          • Complete quality documents to ensure adherence to procedures.
          • Adhere to all established safety practices.
          • Other duties as assigned.
