Job Summary:

The School of Public Health at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/part-time Adjunct Assistant Professor, Health Policy & Management. The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching health policy and health policy-related courses.
  • Use model methods of teaching, including online and in-person engagement, case studies, team projects, and discussion boards.
  • Manage and oversee the learning environment, instructional activities, course materials, and online grading system.
  • Provide student advisement, review program/course outcomes criteria with students, provide guidance, and support student progress.
  • Evaluate students through class participation, assignments, and exams.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A terminal degree, doctoral candidate or the equivalent professional degree in a discipline related to public health, health policy or community health.
  • Graduate-level teaching or teaching experience.
  • Experience using online learning management systems.
