POSITION SUMMARY:
The Distance Education Coordinator assists the Director of OnlineLearning & Strategy in advancement of Duquesne University's distanceeducation initiatives. This role ensures student and faculty success throughhigh-quality online learning experiences while maintaining institutionalregulatory compliance.
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
Managescompliance with Distance Education regulations, manage State Authorization andProfessional Licensure process for compliance.
Supportsbest practices in online course and program delivery. This includes use ofrubrics to evaluate online instruction to ensure quality standards and Regular& Substantive Interaction (RSI) requirements are met.
Supports University DigitalAccessibility efforts to achieve and maintain WCAG 2.1 compliance.
Represents the Office of OnlineLearning and Strategy [Distance Education] at both internal and external eventsand trainings.
Utilizes emerging technologies andremain current on best practices in distance and higher education to supportstrategic goals.
Assistsfaculty and staff with recording and post-production of instructional videosutilizing recording studios.
Completes other duties as assigned.
