Salary/Pay Scale/Days: Administrative Pay Scale / Grade 34 / 240 Days / 8 Hours
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field is required. Five years of experience in technology information security, policy development, and compliance. Five years of experience in security best practices and application within enterprise infrastructure, networking, operating systems, and cloud environments. May require a valid state driver's license. Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, CIS Controls). At least one of the following certifications is required; holding additional certifications listed is preferred: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC General Security Essentials (GSEC), CompTIA Security+, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). May require a valid state driver's license.
Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring effective integration of information technology systems and services with the information technology program and information security policy. The Coordinator of Technology - Cybersecurity is primarily responsible for protecting the District from cybersecurity threats. This involves researching trends, reviewing suspicious activities, reporting security breaches, and educating employees on cybersecurity. The Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing an overall information security vision, strategy, and program to protect the District's assets.
