Computer Operator 2 (Onsite) โ€“ Atlanta, GA

Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Job Type: Long-Term Contract
Pay Rate: $30/hr on W2

Job Description:

We are hiring a Computer Operator 2 to support 24/7 data center and production operations for a government client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring systems, managing batch processing jobs, and ensuring smooth IT operations in a mission-critical environment.

Shift Details:

  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 PM โ€“ 7:00 AM
  • Additional 16 hours during weekdays (flexible across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift)

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor data center operations and production systems
  • Manage and track batch jobs using Control-M or similar scheduling tools
  • Perform NOC monitoring and respond to system alerts
  • Handle incident detection, escalation, and resolution
  • Support production control activities and ensure system uptime
  • Coordinate with infrastructure teams for hardwareย and HVAC issues
  • Follow change management processes and operational procedures
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of system activities

Required Skills:

  • 2โ€“5 years of experience in Data Center Operations or Production Support
  • Experience with Control-M or job scheduling tools
  • Knowledge of AIX, Linux, and Windows environments
  • Experience in NOC monitoring or production support roles
  • Understanding of incident and change management processes
