Job description

The Architectural Drafting Specialist reports to the leader of the department. Duties include:

  • Drafting a full set of plans for Construction by internal deadlines.
  • Peer redline review.
  • Coordinating with third-party vendors for task completion and efficiency.
  • Drafting custom options and HSP layouts.
  • Drafting updates / changes / miscellaneous.
  • Reviewing truss layouts, foundation plans, and wall panels.
  • Creating presentations for Sales team.
  • Submitting master permits in all jurisdictions.
  • Reviewing and approving interactive floor plans and renderings.
  • Framewalking houses.
  • Meeting internal deadlines, as assigned.
  • Always look, dress and speak professionally.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Required: High School diploma or GED

Experience

  • Preferred: At least two years' relevant experience /

Skills Abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to framewalk homes and climb roofs (if necessary)
