Job description

The Outdoor Salesman will play a key role in delivering accurate and competitive project bids across residential, commercial, and agricultural construction projects. This position involves cost estimation, detailed project planning, and coordination with vendors and clients to ensure budgets are realistic and maintained. The estimator will also engage in occasional site visits and utilize specialized software to support the estimation process, while benefiting from mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and project bids for residential, commercial, and agricultural constructions
  • Develop detailed project plans and quantify required materials
  • Coordinate with vendors to source materials and negotiate pricing
  • Manage project budgets to ensure cost control throughout construction phases
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding project scope, costs, and updates
  • Utilize estimating software tools such as Quickbooks and Softplan
  • Conduct occasional travel to project sites for evaluation and coordination
