Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: M-F 8am - 5pm (Flex Start)

Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.
Summary:

Analyzes procedures and problems within manual/automated health care systems, reports findings and when applicable, recommends options for resolutions independently or under general direction. Formulates system scope and objectives. Confers with professional staff to ascertain specific requirements and assist in the completion of programming specifications. Monitors patient care applications for adherence to documented requirements, quality assurance and integrity. Provides technical assistance to application analysts, review application configurations for accuracy, and ensure change management policies are followed. In coordination with, and in the absence of the Manager, oversees the daily workflow of the team, and provides guidance to staff. Assists in preparing installation schedules, user training, procedural documentation, and project control. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Required:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
  • 4 years of experience using or installing systems relative to the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Professional Certification with assigned application (Epic, OnBase, Lawson or other application certification).
  • Demonstrated technical expertise with computer operating systems, utilities and hardware, Information technology, principles, networking, computer hardware, HL7 protocol, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of technical tools and processes used in system development.
  • Proficient project management discipline with a proven track record of meeting aggressive timelines and achieving quality project outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized and flexible.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
  • Ability to travel to satellite locations and/or vendor sites.
  • Subject to on-call.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and produce quality results on time with strong attention to detail.

Preferred:
  • Master's Degree or post-graduate studies in related fields.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Prior supervisory or lead role experience.
  • Experience implementing information systems.
  • Strong project management skills.

Physical Demands:
