We are seeking a highly capable SAFe Release Train Specialist (RTE) to lead the execution and continuous improvement of Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within our organization. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a servant leader and coach, driving program alignment, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement across multiple Agile teams.
In this pivotal role, you will act as the operational and facilitative backbone of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) ART-ensuring effective coordination, removing impediments, and fostering collaboration across product, engineering, and business functions.

You will directly influence how teams deliver customer value, ensuring strategic alignment, predictability, and flow across large-scale initiatives.   • Lead and facilitate the execution of Agile Release Trains (ARTs), aligning team members across multiple Agile teams.
  • Plan and orchestrate all key SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
  • Ensure continuous flow of value by proactively identifying and resolving cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments.
  • Partner with Product Management, System Architects, and Business Owners to align on vision, priorities, and delivery commitments.
  • Promote transparency and data-driven decision-making through effective communication, reporting, and metrics tracking.
  • Act as a servant leader to Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners-providing guidance on Lean-Agile principles, practices, and mindsets.
  • Mentor and develop Scrum Masters to strengthen team-level agility and performance.
  • Champion a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and continuous learning across the ART.
  • Establish and monitor ART-level performance metrics including velocity, predictability, and quality.
  • Analyze trends to identify improvement opportunities and drive measurable performance gains.
  • Provide clear visibility into ART progress and outcomes for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead Inspect & Adapt sessions to identify systemic improvement actions.
  • Promote best practices in DevOps, Lean flow, and Agile governance.
  • Foster innovation by supporting teams in experimenting and adopting new practices that enhance delivery performance.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in Agile delivery roles within large-scale software, technology, or systems environments.
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership or coordination role such as Release Train Engineer, Program Manager, or Agile Delivery Lead within a SAFe environment.
  • Proven success in facilitating large, cross-functional initiatives and driving delivery in a matrixed organization.
  • Deep understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean-Agile principles, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong facilitation and servant leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business functions.
  • Proficiency with Agile delivery tools such as Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Rally, or equivalent platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret and leverage metrics for performance optimization.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to navigate complex delivery environments.
  • In accordance with the Charter of the French Language, French is the normal and everyday language of work at AspenTech in Quebec. This position requires strong proficiency in French for internal communications and collaboration within the Montreal team. English proficiency is also required to effectively work with international teams, stakeholders, and systems located outside Quebec.
