Lead the Design of Innovative Fitness Products

Are you an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys solving complex design challenges and bringing innovative products to market? Join our engineering team and help lead the development of next-generation fitness equipment used by customers around the world.


As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in product innovation, technical problem-solving, and engineering execution across the full product development lifecycle. Working closely with Project Engineering, Industrial Design, and Factory Engineering teams, you'll help transform concepts into high-quality consumer products while mentoring less experienced engineers and influencing engineering best practices.


This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced product development environment and enjoys balancing hands-on design work with technical leadership.


What You'll Do:

Product Design & Engineering Leadership:

Lead the mechanical design and development of new fitness products from concept through production launch

Create and review 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and product documentation

Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Engineering, Industrial Design, Factory Engineering, and Manufacturing teams

Translate customer and product requirements into innovative engineering solutions

Lead technical design reviews and engineering discussions throughout the product lifecycle

Support tooling development, product costing, and manufacturability optimization

Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)


Research, Analysis & Validation:

Develop engineering test specifications and validation plans

Conduct or support DFMEA activities, strength analysis, and fatigue testing

Evaluate and validate product designs through prototype and component testing

Research new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods

Support innovation initiatives, including patent searches and invention disclosures


Manufacturing & Production Support:

Partner with factory engineering teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing, quality, and cost requirements

Support new product introduction into mass production

Troubleshoot technical and manufacturing challenges during production ramp-up

Review quality and inspection data to drive continuous product improvement and value-engineering opportunities

Collaborate with Asia-based engineering and manufacturing teams on product execution and technical requirements


Mentorship & Collaboration:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers and designers

Share best practices related to mechanical design, manufacturability, and problem-solving

Contribute to continuous improvement within engineering processes and product development standards

Requirements


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

7+ years of mechanical design or product development experience

Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and collaboration abilities


Preferred Experience:

Consumer product development experience

Experience with plastic injection molding and high-volume manufacturing

Familiarity with DFMEA, testing, and product validation

Experience collaborating with Industrial Design teams

Passion for hands-on design, building, or mechanical projects
