Job description

General Purpose

Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is seeking a highly creative and talented Content Creator to bring our brands to life through compelling visual storytelling. This position is responsible for creating high-quality photo and video content that showcases the resort's luxury accommodations, four championship golf courses, marina, dining venues, events, private clubs, Hotel Effie, and The Agency Sandestin.

The ideal candidate is a skilled photographer and videographer with professional camera experience who can capture, edit, and produce engaging content for social media, digital marketing campaigns, websites, advertising, public relations initiatives, and internal communications. This role requires someone who can independently manage content projects from concept through final production while maintaining brand standards across multiple luxury hospitality and real estate brands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production

  • Capture professional photography and videography across all of Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort.
  • Create engaging visual content for social media platforms, websites, email marketing campaigns, digital advertising, and promotional materials.
  • Produce short-form and long-form video content including reels, promotional videos, property tours, interviews, event coverage, lifestyle content, and behind-the-scenes features.
  • Photograph resort amenities, accommodations, restaurants, golf courses, marina activities, meetings and events, weddings, employee culture, and real estate properties.
  • Utilize professional DSLR, mirrorless, cinema, and drone equipment to create high-quality content.
  • Operate lighting, audio, stabilization, and related production equipment as needed.
  • Edit photos and videos using industry-standard software to produce polished, brand-aligned content.

Social Media & Brand Storytelling

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content calendars and campaign strategies.
  • Identify and capture trending content opportunities across the resort and hotel.
  • Create content that drives engagement, brand awareness, lead generation, and bookings.
  • Support influencer partnerships, media visits, and special events through content creation.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all visual assets and platforms.

Real Estate Marketing

  • Produce luxury real estate photography and videography for The Agency Sandestin listings.
  • Create property walkthrough videos, agent feature content, and lifestyle marketing materials.
  • Capture aerial drone footage of properties, neighborhoods, golf courses, beaches, and resort amenities when certified and approved.

Event Coverage

  • Capture and document resort events, golf tournaments, weddings, conferences, holiday celebrations, community events, and special activations.
  • Work flexible hours when necessary to cover evening, late evening, weekend, and holiday events.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Partner with departments throughout the resort to identify content opportunities.
  • Maintain organized digital asset libraries and archives.
  • Ensure all content is delivered on schedule and meets brand standards.
  • Stay current on industry trends, social media best practices, and emerging content creation technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Film Production, Photography, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional content creation experience.
  • Experience within hospitality, luxury brands, tourism, golf, real estate, or lifestyle industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing professional photography and videography work.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and content trends.

Technical Skills

Required:

  • Professional camera operation (DSLR, Mirrorless, Cinema Cameras).
  • Professional photography techniques including composition, lighting, and editing.
  • Professional videography including camera movement, framing, audio capture, and storytelling.
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency including:
    • Lightroom
    • Photoshop
    • Premiere Pro
    • After Effects (preferred)
  • Drone operation experience preferred (FAA Part 107 certification a plus).
  • Experience with gimbals, lighting systems, microphones, and other production equipment.
  • Ability to color-correct, edit, and export content for multiple platforms.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk extensively throughout a 2,400-acre resort property.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while capturing content.
  • Ability to lift and carry camera equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, humidity, wind, and rain.
  • Ability to climb stairs, navigate uneven terrain, golf courses, beaches, docks, and event venues.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
