Position: On Call Staff Chaplain Per Diem $3000 Sign on Bonus

Location: Benton Franklin County

Type: Per Diem

Anticipated Schedule: As needed for on call coverage

Position Overview:

The Staff Chaplain, Per Diem, provides flexible, compassionate spiritual care and emotional support to hospice patients, families, and caregivers on an as-needed basis. This role is after hours and on call and supports in-home patients, contracted facilities, the hospice house. .


Additionally, the Chaplain contributes to community crisis intervention and provides debriefings and support sessions for staff and community members. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and is ideal for professionals seeking to provide meaningful spiritual care at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

1.A bachelor's or master's degree in divinity, theology, psychology, or a related discipline from an accredited school of higher education.

2.Completion of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) training or must be obtained within twenty-four (24) months of hire date.

3.Competency in electronic medical records and documentation practices.

4.Available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the on-call rotation.

5.Valid driver's license and insured under Washington State vehicle insurance requirements, as driving is an essential function of this position.

6.Reliable transportation and the ability to independently travel within Tri-Cities Chaplaincy's service area to deliver patient and family care in homes, facilities, and community settings.

7.This position is designated as safety-sensitive and will require pre-employment drug testing, which includes cannabis testing in WA State.

8.Ability to report to assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent, reliable attendance.


PER DIEM MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Available to work two (2) shifts per month.

2. Available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

3. Available to work two (2) holidays per twelve (12) month period.


Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ecclesiastical Endorsement.

2. One (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from a training site accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE).

3. Chaplaincy experience in hospice, palliative care, hospital, or crisis ministry settings.

4. Experience in end-of-life care and crisis intervention.

5. Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively in both languages.

Compensation

Hiring Range: $26.53/hour - $36.07/hour

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus: New hires are eligible to receive a $3,000 bonus upon successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment in good standing.


Premiums:

$2.50/hour Weeknight

$2.00/hour Per Diem

$2.25/hour Weekend day

$4.75/hour Weekend Night

$4.00/hour On Call Standby

At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, we carefully establish pay ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account, including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.


Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires, depending on experience and qualifications.


Benefits

Mileage Reimbursement: $0.72 per mile.

Holiday pay for work on Holidays.

Sick time earned on an accrual basis

5. Transportation: Maintain reliable personal transportation. Maintain a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance per state requirements.

6. Health Requirements: Satisfy state and agency health requirements by providing proof of immunization, declinations, or approved accommodations as applicable.

7. Screenings: Pass criminal background and drug screenings.

8. Physical Demands: Meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.(see attached physical requirements)

9. Training and Orientation: Complete agency and departmental orientation and required training programs.

10. Continuing Education: Complete ongoing education, policy reviews, and training be designated deadlines.

11. Licensure and Certification: Maintain current licensure(s) and certifications(s) required for the role.

12. Language Proficiency: Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

13. Work Availability: Be available to work as assigned or scheduled.
