Position Summary:
At Kriete Truck Centers, our On-Call CDL Drivers are trusted team members who play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This part-time position involves driving and transporting semi-tractors between locations, delivering vehicles to customers, assisting with test drives, and helping maintain a clean, professional dealership environment.
The ideal candidate may be a retired or semi-retired CDL holder who still enjoys being behind the wheel and understands the value of excellent customer service. This role requires a friendly attitude, strong attention to detail, and a dependable approach to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick up and deliver units between Kriete dealership locations as needed
  • Support the service team with customer drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Perform test drives of semi-tractors for service and sales departments
  • Refuel units and ensure vehicles are ready for delivery or return.
  • Assist with general lot maintenance, trash removal, and cleanliness
  • Complete and return all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of both self and company vehicles
  • Follow all company safety protocols and DOT regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the service or parts manager

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Must have a valid CDL and a driving record that meets insurability standards
  • Reliable, courteous, and focused on delivering great service to internal and external customers
  • Ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles safely and confidently
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be dependable and punctual

Education & Work Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior driving experience required; semi-retired or retired CDL holders are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in a dealership or transportation setting is a plus
