Job description

On-Call Security Officer

Chesapeake Protective Services is accepting applications for On-Call Security Officers, both armed and unarmed. This position is best suited for individuals seeking supplemental income, looking to work at least one day a week or more.

All candidates must have:

  • Active Maryland Guard Card.
  • Cell phone with good data plan to use the Security App while on duty.
  • Be familiar with and possess the skills to use smartphones and apps.
  • Maryland driver's license for more than two years, and a clean driving record for the last seven years.
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written English, with excellent grammar skills.
  • A copy of your driving record for our auto insurance provider.

All armed candidates must have:

  • Maryland wear and carry permit.
  • Service weapon registered with Maryland in your name.
  • Duty belt & level 2 holster or higher.

Please do not come to our office if you do not have an active Maryland Guard Card. Save yourself a trip and call us to inquire about how to obtain or renew your Guard Card with the Maryland State Police. All applicants must have a Maryland driver's license with a clean driving record to be approved by our auto insurance provider, and an active Maryland Guard Card in order to apply.
