Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12hr Day Shift (36)

Shift Information: Weekend Program - Fri, Sat, Sun. Primarily, the hours will be 0700/0730 start time with a 1930/2000 end time. Hours may be subject to change based off department need, but will remain 12-hour shifts at a 0.9 FTE.

Clinical Interviewing- Yes - Will go to manager for approval to offer.

On Call, Call Back Requirements: None

Weekend Rotation: Weekend position

Holiday Requirements: If falls on scheduled day

Floating Requirements: Throughout hospital for portables and to OR

About Facility:

  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Primary Stroke Center
  • Beds: 91

Unit Information:

  • Beds: 3 X-ray rooms, 1 X-ray in ED, 3 mobile units
  • Average patients/day: 100 patients total in 24h period for department

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years of acute care experience

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

  • Mostly adults but could see some peds (typically 12 ). Peds major traumas typically sent out
  • General X-ray, OR (ortho/spine/neuro/pain/urology/etc.), pain, fluoro, ER, ICU, inpatient/outpatient
  • Will see the O-arm in the OR. Experience with the O-arm not required, can be taught here if needed. Fluoro experience preferred, not required.

Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, ARRT, WI state license

Skills required:

  • Experience with above patient types
  • OR experience required. Can be taught O-arm in the OR
  • EPIC experience required

Support within the Department:

  • Lead Tech during the week, no Lead Tech on weekends
  • 1 other tech on weekends
  • Tech on call from 0700-2300 on weekends
  • Several other tech during weekdays
  • Transporter during weekday, no transporter on weekends
  • RT 24/7
  • Hospitalist 24/7
  • Rapid Response/Code Team 24/7

Technology/Equipment:

  • EMR: EPIC - required
  • Monitors: McKesson PACS – preferred
  • Unit specific equipment:
  • C-arms - Client OEC (preferred)
  • O-arm – Healthcare
  • Del Medical and Radrex in room
  • Portables - Cannon

Floating: If yes, where: Throughout hospital for portables and to OR

Orientation (facility and unit) :

  • NEO
  • 2-3 shifts of orientation in the department. This will be during the week
  • Orientation: Will be 2 days and will start on Monday. Will work weekends after orientation week.

Scheduling:

  • Weekend rotation: see submission email for hours
  • If weekend position, will work Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12h
  • On call: No
  • Holiday Expectations: If falls on normal schedule will work the holiday
  • Approval of RTO: to go through manager
  • Shift times: see email submission for hours
  • If weekend Days, will be 0700/0730 – 1930/2000
