Job description

Life Insurance Specialist

We are seeking a motivated Life Insurance Specialist to help grow the life insurance business within our State Farm agency. This role will work both in-book, identifying and developing life insurance opportunities with existing agency customers, and out-of-book, generating new prospects through referrals, networking, community relationships, and proactive outreach.

The ideal candidate is comfortable having needs-based conversations, uncovering protection gaps, presenting appropriate life insurance solutions, and consistently following up to close business. Responsibilities include prospecting, conducting life insurance reviews, preparing illustrations and applications, managing the underwriting process, and partnering with the agency team to identify opportunities.

Key qualifications:

  • Tennessee Life & Health license, or ability to obtain
  • Strong sales, relationship-building, and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable prospecting both existing customers and new leads
  • Goal-oriented with a strong desire to grow life production
  • Ability to explain life insurance in a simple, customer-focused way

Primary objective: Build a consistent life insurance pipeline by maximizing opportunities within the agency's existing book while creating new relationships outside the book.
