Job Title:On-Call Mental Health Worker (Mornings Weekends)
Division/Program:(Adult 24/7 Inpatient) Crisis Residential Unit
Starting Compensation:17.46 - 19.00 USD Per Hour
Working Location:Merced, CA
Working Hours/Shift:On-call shifts Available for Coverage: AM (6:00-2:30), PM (2:00-10:30), or NOC (10:00-6:30). No set schedule-coverage depends on program needs and applicant availability.

What you bring:- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in a social science field preferred.
- One (1) year of full-time direct care experience preferred OR one (1) year experience of non-professional consumer-directed internship in mental health field preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License required and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria required
How you will make a difference- Promotes and assists clients with self-help skills in the areas of eating, hygiene and grooming and other activity or nursing activities.
- Monitors client's attendance at assigned activities and maximizes client participation through appropriate motivational techniques.
- Conducts and assists activity groups and community outings independently.
- Encourages client's interaction and socialization with other peers, providing feedback to clients on appropriate behavior while acting as a role model.
- Accurately documents in writing each client's attendance and response to activity and therapeutic groups or individual counseling in the individual medical record.
- May be required to operate a company vehicle to transport clients.
Division/Program Overview: - 24/7 inpatient voluntary program
- 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59)
- Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
- Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
- Medication evaluation and support services
