Job description

Position & Summary:
We are seeking versatile service technicians and qualified plumbers to handle a range of repair calls and contribute to our strong employee base. While technicians perform minor repairs, larger installations are outsourced. A strong emphasis will be placed on candidates with a broad skillset.

Must-Have Skillsets and Experience:
Service Technicians:
Perform maintenance repairs on all appliances. Perform electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc. Perform minor plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc.

Proficiency in common repair issues, including flooring repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and graffiti painting.

Versatile skillset for full-time work.

Experience in large-scale residential environments is highly valued.

Candidates with both residential and some commercial experience are ideal.
Service Plumbers:
Must have significant experience with snaking drains, clogs, water heater replacements and overall commercial plumbing. The most common calls are snaking drains & clogs in restaurants like Chic Fil A - McDonalds, etc.

To be responsible, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Onsite Resident Manager, for the overall maintenance of the physical plant, and all areas related to the day to day maintenance of the property.


General:
Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
Strong problem-solving skills.

Ok with Driving a lot.


Education/Skill Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years maintenance experience + or experience in related field.
  • Ability to work with persons of all ethnic and religious backgrounds and understand the problems of residents.
  • Concern for work-safety program. Some type of formal training or experience in any or all of the following areas: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, HVAC, Appliance repair, Swimming Pool Operations.


Maintenance Tech Level 1
– Entry Level, less than 1 year experience in facilities, or related experience

Maintenance Tech Level 2 – Over two up to five years success and growth in Residential Maintenance position, as well as some technical training and certifications.

Maintenance Tech Level 3 – Over five years; experience, transferrable skills, or progressive growth, multiple technical certifications, and Management & Customer references.
Work Order Management: Day and Night technicians typically handle one to three work orders, each with specified time limits. Any extensions require prior approval.
