By leveraging a deep understanding of health system IT operational best practices supported by data, Guidehouse propels IT operational improvement and technology adoption across departments and service lines at client organizations.
What You Will Do:
We are seeking a Consultant with Epic revenue cycle experience to support implementation and optimization efforts for healthcare clients. This role involves hands-on participation across revenue cycle functions-from front-end patient access through billing and collections-working under the guidance of senior team members to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support configuration and optimization of Epic revenue cycle applications across front-end, middle, and back-end functions
  • Participate in Epic implementation or optimization projects as part of a project team
  • Assist with current-state workflow analysis and contribute to system-enabled improvement recommendations
  • Build, test, and validate Epic functionality including Patient Access, HIM, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, and Resolute applications
  • Support development and delivery of end-user training materials and sessions
  • Document workflows, system configurations, and project artifacts
  • Collaborate with project team members, client stakeholders, and technical resources
  • Provide support during go-live activities, including issue tracking and resolution support
  • Help identify system or workflow issues and escalate as needed
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practice documentation

What You Will Need:
Education
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree required (Healthcare, Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred)

Experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on Epic revenue cycle experience
  • Experience supporting revenue cycle functions across the end-to-end continuum, with emphasis on back-end operations (billing, collections, denials)
  • Involvement in at least one Epic implementation or major optimization effort
  • Experience working in a consulting, analyst, or operational support capacity

Technical & Functional Skills
  • Working knowledge of Epic revenue cycle applications
  • Understanding of revenue cycle workflows, reimbursement models, and compliance
  • Ability to analyze, configure, and optimize workflows and system settings
  • Experience with reporting, analytics, or performance monitoring within Epic

Travel
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, based on client and project needs

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Epic certification in one or more revenue cycle applications (Resolute Hospital Billing, Resolute Professional Billing, Cadence, Prelude, Revenue Guardian, or HIM)
  • Experience with Epic Tapestry, Welcome, or Claims and Remittance applications
  • Knowledge of payer contracting and denial management strategies
  • Experience with Epic upgrades and application updates
  • Consulting or client-facing experience

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
