About the role

Reporting to the Technology Services Manager, the Senior Technology System Analyst will be a member of the Technology services team. They will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and deploying .NET and SQL code.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of applications using VB.NET, C#.NET, Oracle and SQL;
  • Respond to production incidents and support requests.
  • Develop and implement enhancements for existing applications;
  • Provide advanced-level support for existing applications and systems;
  • Propose and apply problem-solving approaches;
  • Develop, modify, and implement testing protocols;
  • Analyze and understand client issues and requirements;
  • Assess the level of urgency and prioritize tasks based on workload.
  • Provide periodic on-call support (24/7).

 

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with demonstrated expertise in application development;
  • Experience in the design (.NET Framework), evaluation, coding, and testing of complex software applications;
  • Ability to create detailed functional and technical specifications for programs;
  • Strong technical proficiency in VB.NET, C#.NET, SQL and Oracle;
  • Strong technical proficiency SQL server, Alteryx, Microsoft iPAAS (Logic apps, data factory, Azure function etc.)
  • Knowledge of relational databases, including stored procedures and triggers;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and problem-solving abilities;
  • Pragmatic mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment involving multiple concurrent projects; capable of working effectively as part of a team and delivering results with minimal supervision;
  • French speaker is a valued asset

Education

  • College or university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
